Thank you for visiting us!
We are happy to have you at our site today. We've spent a great deal of time endeavoring to create
a place for you to get the information you are looking for regarding your hearing. You will find information about
hearing aids, specialized monitors for both protecting your hearing and listening to music (particularly for musicians)
and information about how your inner ears can affect your balance and any dizziness you may be experiencing. This page
will assist you in getting the most out of our site.
Basic Site Navigation
All links on this site are "animated" - meaning that they will highlight in one way or another to let you know
that they are links. If you roll your mouse over something and nothing happens, then it is most likely not a link. The
most notable exception is the whole top of the web site -
clicking anywhere on the logo at the top will always take
you back to the home page.
Links will look something like this when you roll over them:

Here the mouse has rolled over
"Contacting / Visiting us"
|
 |

Here the mouse has rolled over
"How often should I have my hearing checked?"
|
Additionally, links will often have a "Go Arrow" icon beside them
as can be seen here on the links that will always be on the bottom of our page:
Searching our site for something specific
Our site has a mechanism for search for any content we are presenting. Some smaller words like "all" are not
indexed, nor are really common words like "they" - but just about everything else is. You may begin a search
from anywhere by entering the text you are looking for in the box at the top right of our site and clicking "Go."

Here a user is looking for
our telephone number.
|
Here is a fragment of the results for that search. Notice that all you need to do is put your mouse
over the item you want to see and click on it - you will be taken to that page in our site instantly.
Navigating the Article Archive
Our article archive is a hierarchical structure of categories (much like "Folders" or "Directories" on your computer)
and articles. It is where we store all previous content, as well as items that we think you may be looking for but
we do not have a clear place, or page, on the site to display it.
The best way to access things in our archive is to use the Search mechanism described above, but if you wish to
"walk through" our archive, you may do so as well. From anywhere on our site, select the
"
Articles, Newsletters & other Resources"
link at the bottom. Navigation of the archive is performed with links on the left side of the screen and articles
are displayed on the right. When you first arrive you will be looking at the Master Category Index - so no article
will be displayed.
You can try it now by

CLICKING HERE.
By clicking on links in the "Subcategories to visit from here" section you can access different "Folders" in our archive.
Notice that as you click into categories you will be shown where you are in the archive in the "You are currently at:"
section at the top. Use the "Back Arrows" beside each level of the archive to go back to the category index for <that> level.
When there are articles in a category, they will show up in the "Articles in this category" section in the
middle. Simply click on them and they will show up in the article display section on the right. Note that the article
you are currently reading will show up as a large light-green arrow at the top of the navigation pane.
