Dear Dr. Kurth,

As the owner of a luxury home design firm, I am always very concerned about quality of product and quality of service. When I made the commitment to have my hearing tested and perhaps purchase hearing aids, my motivation was to improve the quality of my life and the quality of the lives of my family, my staff and my clients.

Little did I know that my response to your advertisement for a hearing aid seminar would change my life so dramatically. My relationship with you and your staff has been nothing short of remarkable and indeed you have turned out to be a health care service provider for me, not just a "hearing aid sales outlet." The Phonak completely in the ear units that I have had for over two months now are light years above what I expected my improved hearing to be. My hearing loss was over 50% and the new units have restored my hearing to 75% (and I think perhaps better than that). I can hear people in the back seat now without having to turn my head to see them, I don't have to ask my family to constantly repeat things, my staff is amazed that my comprehensions is so much higher, and I don't misinterpret my clients' comments. I also don't read lips any longer and I am hearing the notes between the notes of my favorite music that I haven't heard in many, many years. What a joy it is to have these units!

Likewise, I want to thank you for your caring and your patience in answering my questions and addressing all of my concerns so completely. This was a big step for me and your professional skills shone through. There was no doubt in my mind that when I made the decision to move forward, I was improving the quality of not only my life, but all of those around me also.

I know that you told me to wait 45 days before I made a judgment about the Widex Inteo IN-9 hearing aids, but I think you know me well enough to know that I would not wait that long. They are just GREAT GREAT!

The clarity is beyond anything I thought was possible for me to achieve. Dr. Kurth - you have given back to me what I have not had for fifty years - the understanding of spoken words. The first day I received the Widex IN-9 was the first day since closed caption TV was available that I watched TV with the closed caption off and heard with clarify and understanding of the words spoken. I've had a hearing problem for the past 14 years, and have tried several different brands for the last 10. None of them have come close to the natural sound I get from the Resound. The Resound sounds so natural, and is so comfortable, that I actually have to touch my ear sometimes because I don't even know I have it in. I would highly recommend the Resound hearing aid as a worthwhile investment. I depend on it in my profession in television news, since hearing those I do stories on is imperative.

My name is Patricia. I am 79 years old and in good health except for a severe hearing loss. I have been deaf in my right ear for many years. I have been a patient of Dr. Kristin Wells and she fitted my left ear with a Diva Digital Hearing Aid so I would hear better. In June, I went to her for help with my hearing aid as I could not hear well at all. Kristin tested my ear and I had suffered a profound hearing loss. She suggested I might qualify for a Cochlear implant and made an appointment for me at Mayo Clinic. After three weeks of healing, the processor was connected to the implant. It was so exciting to hear from my deaf ear. It is truly a miracle. With the implant in my right ear and the hearing aid in my left ear, I am now able to converse with people and use the telephone.

When I started wearing hearing aids three years ago, I had no first-hand information about them. It became difficult for me to insert them into the ear canal, so I became frustrated, and quit using them. But recently, I decided to try them again. It was so much easier.
