Audiology & Hearing Aid Center Background

Audiology & Hearing Aid Center started in 1981 in a 400 square foot office. The waiting room was so small that if there were more than two people, often the third person would stand outside. For the first few years I operated my practice part-time and continued to work for a group of ENT doctors providing audiology services. Soon I realized, no business can operate successfully on a part-time basis. So, I quit my day job and committed myself full time to my practice. That was more than 25 years ago. Luckily we moved out of the 400 square foot office within five years to our present downtown Scottsdale location of just 2000 square feet on Civic Center Plaza. I opened another office in North Scottsdale in the early 90’s, moving to our permanent North location 5 years ago at 91st and Mountain View Road. Since I was not busy enough, I also opened a satellite location at 15th Avenue and Camelback. Traveling to three offices every week has been a way of life for a long time. I do not try to see all my patients myself and have three wonderful audiologists on staff that many of you have had the opportunity to see for various audiologic services.

As all who have been to any of our locations will know we strive to provide the best services and patient care. As new technology evolves all of our audiologists are thoroughly trained to provide our patients with the best hearing technology has to offer. The follow up care we provide for the life of any hearing instrument is also a critical part of the success for each of our patients. Education through our monthly seminars is our commitment to the community. For those with limited finances we work with several programs to help those who may not be able to receive the benefits of better hearing.

So whether your goals are to achieve better hearing, obtain hearing protection to prevent noise induced hearing loss, or to determine the cause and find treatment for a balance or dizziness problem, I hope you will choose the Audiology & Hearing Aid Center and recommend us to a friend or family member.

Sincerely,

Cathy E. Kurth, Au.D, FAAA
