President Reagan Remembered
America's 40th president, Ronald Reagan, was the first president to put hearing loss
and hearing aids in the national spotlight. Known as "The Great Communicator,"
President Reagan was the first to openly acknowledge a hearing loss caused by
gunfire on a movie set some 44 years prior. He was fitted with hearing aids in
1983 (before the dawn of digital hearing technology) during the prime of his
presidency so he could continue to communicate effectively through improved hearing.
It is estimated that more than 30 million Americans have hearing loss and could
benefit from today's advanced digital hearing aids. You too, could be considered
a "great communicator" by telling your family and friends about us!
